AHS is part of a new Ballina Cluster of only 5 schools (Alstonville,Ballina Coast,Mullumbimby, Murwillumbah and Wollumbin High Schools) in our far north coast region that self nominated for a government funded program known as EPPP-Educational Pathways Pilot Program.This gives us access to a range of programs,resources and support that other schools do not have access to. These include an SBAT School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship Mentor Toni Bellos, a HT Careers across all 5 schools- Deb Page -Thomas and CONNECT Mentor support programs-Anna Toole and Sue Ryan. Other activities include YES Plus TAFE Tasters, EDGE Employer Grooming and employer expectations webinar or workshops, TAFE Wrap around services for under 17 year olds who leave school early for TAFE and COMING soon....Nov/Dec Get Trade Fit workshop at AHS with Novaskill combined with work experience...Contact Karen Horne Careers Adviser for further information.

Year 9 Resumes/Interview Hints
YEAR 9:The Careers Adviser will be withdrawing small groups of approximately 4 students each period from Year 9 timetabled Religion/non religion classes. The purpose of this is to discuss Resume preparation, Cover Letters and Interview hints etc. I will send a note to Mr Fleming when he can send students to the Careers/Welfare Office, over the coming months until I have seen all students at least once.
